Marie Caroline in Bavaria

When Duchess Marie Caroline in
Bavaria married into the Wurrtenburg
royal house in 1992 she wore a
beautiful tiara of daisies. It
was made with white and yellow
gold and possibly diamonds. This
tiara was also worn by her sister
Sophie the following year for her
wedding to Alois of Liechtenstein.
The tiara is most likely an heirloom
from her mother’s family. She also
wore a pair of pearl studded earrings.

The brides veil was made of lace,
with flower designs through out.

The Duchess wore a beautiful white
silk dress. With long sleeves,
fitted at the wrist, that was
slightly puffed at the shoulder.
The neckline was thick, yet very
small and not far from the neck at
all. The upper portion of the dress
fitted well at the bodice/waist. It
opened to form the train of the dress.

The skirt of the dress was full, and
bell shaped. It was slightly longer
in the back then in the front. It was
pleated at the waist where the dress
and the train split.

The train was between 3-4 meters long.
The lace veil was about the same length
of the train, but, not longer.

The bridal bouquet was rather large
and made of tulips, roses, white
flowers, and several other kinds
of flowers.
