Infanta Cristina of Spain

Infanta Cristina wears a diamond
and gold tiara in a floral design
It was a wedding gift to Queen Sofia
from General Franco and the people
of Spain. The diamond cluster
earrings had belonged to Queen
Victoria Eugenie, who later gave
it to the late Countess of Barcelona.
The new Duchess of Palma de Mallorca
wore a beautiful white off the shoulder,
dress made of solk of Valence.
which was designed by Spanish designer
Lorenzo Caprile. Her dress featured
wrist length sleeves, with a beautiful flowing
train of 3 meters long.

The veil was a family heirloom from
Queen Maria Cristina, the second
wife of King Alfonso XII, born an Austrian Archduchess.

The bouquet contained light pink
roses, white lilies and other
flowers. It was left by the
Infanta at the Basilica of Our
Lady of Mercy.
